Delete a project

Deleting a project can't be undone. Only an owner or an admin can do it.

From the dashboard

Open the project's Settings, stay on the General tab, and choose Delete project in the danger zone. Type the project's slug to confirm.

From the API

Terminal
curl -X DELETE "https://api.hiraiship.com/api/v1/projects/$PROJECT_ID?confirm=my-app" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $HIRAISHIP_TOKEN"

confirm must be the project's slug: anything else is refused with 400 and code: confirmation_mismatch. A key needs the admin role. See the API reference.

What happens

At once:

  • every environment of the project goes offline: its addresses stop answering;
  • its domains are removed, custom domains included, and so are its environment variables and secrets;
  • builds waiting in the queue are canceled. A build already running finishes, but its result is never published.

What stays:

  • usage already recorded this month: builds, requests and CPU time are billed with the rest of the workspace's usage;
  • the slug, which is free again: a new project can use it, and gets its <slug>.hiraiship.app address.

To take a single environment offline instead, delete it from the Environments tab. See Environments.
