Spend limit
On a paid plan, usage past the included amounts is billed. The spend limit is the most overage you accept in a month: when it's reached, your sites are suspended rather than billed further.
It covers overage only: your plan's price comes on top.
Default limits
Each paid plan starts with a default:

Changing it
The workspace's owner sets it in Settings → Usage. A change applies right away: raising the limit lifts a suspension it caused, without waiting.
Set it to 0 to turn every included amount into a hard limit, as on Free: nothing is ever billed past your plan's price.
When it's reached
- You're warned at 50 %, 80 % and 100 %; see Usage alerts.
- At 100 %, every site in the workspace answers 402 "Spending limit reached", until you raise the limit or the month ends.
- Starting a build is refused too.
