Build machines
Each build runs on a machine sized by its type. A bigger machine installs and builds faster, and costs more per minute.
Machine types
| Machine | vCPU | Memory | Disk | Price / minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| standard-1 | ½ | 4 GiB | 8 GB | $0.003 |
| standard-2 | 1 | 6 GiB | 12 GB | $0.004 |
| standard-3 | 2 | 8 GiB | 16 GB | $0.007 |
| standard-4 | 4 | 12 GiB | 20 GB | $0.012 |
What each plan allows
Each plan has a default machine, which its included build minutes cover, and a set of machines you may choose:
| Free | Standard | Pro | Platform | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Default build machine | standard-1 | standard-2 | standard-2 | standard-1 | standard-3 |
| Build machines | standard-1 | standard-1, standard-2 | standard-1, standard-2, standard-3 | standard-1, standard-2, standard-3, standard-4 | standard-1, standard-2, standard-3, standard-4 |
| Build minutes / month | 100 | 500 | 1,500 | 5,000 | 10,000 |
Choosing a machine
For each build, the first one set wins:
- The deployment's:
hiraiship deploy --machine standard-3, or theHIRAISHIP_MACHINEenvironment variable; - The project's: Build machine in its build settings;
- Your plan's default.
A machine your plan doesn't allow is refused: the CLI says so before uploading anything, and lists the machines you can use. If a project's machine is no longer allowed after a plan change, its builds fall back to the plan's default.
How build minutes are counted
- A build's duration is the time from the start of Preparing to the end of Packaging.
- Every build counts as at least 30 seconds.
- Minutes on your plan's default machine count toward its included build minutes.
- On a paid plan, minutes past the included ones, and minutes on any other machine, are billed at that machine's price per minute.
- On Free, the included minutes are a hard limit: builds are refused once they're used, until the next month.
